Location: Kalkaska, MI

Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm

Role Overview:


The Post Harvest Supervisor reports directly to the Post Harvest Manager and supports the daily operations of the post-harvest department at our Kalkaska facility. This role is responsible for overseeing and supporting harvesting, drying and curing, trimming, and testing processes while ensuring compliance with all CRA regulations, company SOPs, and quality standards.

The Post Harvest Supervisor must maintain product integrity, prevent cross-contamination, and ensure all equipment, tools, and workspaces are properly cleaned and maintained. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a strong appreciation for cannabis, and works effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily post-harvest operations, including harvesting, drying, curing, trimming, testing, and related inventory activities
  • Ensure accurate inventory tracking, product labeling, and compliance within METRC and other inventory management systems
  • Create and manage METRC tags, manifests, and testing submissions as needed
  • Monitor and maintain optimal environmental conditions for drying, curing, and storing cannabis products
  • Ensure compliance with all CRA regulations, company SOPs, quality standards, and audit requirements
  • Maintain accurate records and provide reports to management as required
  • Coordinate supplies, equipment, and resources necessary to support daily operations
  • Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of post-harvest work areas, equipment, and tools
  • Train, mentor, and support team members while promoting productivity, quality, and continuous improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, product quality, and post-harvest processes
Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate, coach, and develop team members
  • Strong organizational, inventory management, and record keeping skills
  • Ability to problem solve, make sound decisions, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of post-harvest cannabis processes, including drying, curing, trimming, and quality control
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to compliance and product quality
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
  • Conflict resolution and team-building skills
Requirements:
  • Must be 21+ and eligible to obtain required state cannabis agent registration
  • Prior lead or supervisory experience in cannabis operations is required
  • METRC training and certification required
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be able to adapt availability to support harvest schedules and business needs
  • Must adhere to all sanitation, hygiene, and contamination-prevention standards
  • Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and strong work ethic
  • Passion for the cannabis industry
Working Conditions:
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, twist, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and push or pull 100 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, including shifts up to 8 hours
