Senior Loan Operations Manager
This role supports our Commercial Lending Operations team .
Key experience requirements include:
- Extensive commercial real estate loan documentation experience
- Title and survey due diligence
- Loan funding operations
- Loan servicing
- Construction loan disbursement management
Role Overview
Oversees high-performing teams handling loan documentation, funding, construction disbursements, and servicing for a complex commercial lending portfolio. Drives operational excellence, control execution, and cross-functional stakeholder partnership while maintaining regulatory/policy compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Lead/coach team of analysts, specialists, and senior processors; set KPIs and career pathways; manage workload/case routing to meet SLAs; implement QC routines (4-eye reviews, sampling)
- Operational Excellence: Oversee intake/processing of documentation and funding requests, construction disbursements, servicing; drive control design (maker/checker, segregation of duties); push process automation and digital workflows
- Compliance & Risk: Maintain adherence to credit governance, documentation, funding, and construction disbursement standards; prepare for audits/regulatory exams; identify and escalate emerging risks
- Stakeholder Partnership: Serve as operational liaison across Credit, Legal, Construction Administration, Relationship Managers, Treasury Operations, and vendors; report on pipeline, SLA performance, exceptions, and risk indicators (mechanics liens, UCC alerts, etc.)
- 7–10+ years commercial loan operations experience, including 5+ years in team leadership
- Extensive expertise in CRE loan documentation, title/survey due diligence, funding operations, servicing, and construction loan disbursement management
- Deep experience interpreting/operationalizing complex, highly negotiated loan agreements
- Strong grasp of operational controls, risk management, and regulatory frameworks
- Proven track record building scalable workflows and driving process improvement
- MS Office Suite proficiency
- Familiarity with loan systems/workflow platforms (e.g., FIS, LaserPro, CLCS)
- Hands-on experience with loan documentation & funding, construction draw administration, budget control, lien waivers, title updates/endorsements, vendor management
