About the Position

Job Title: Travel RN Telemetry Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute care telemetry experience License: Active Registered Nurse license Certifications: BLS and ACLS Must-Have: Minimum 1 year current acute care telemetry experience BLS and ACLS certifications Description: This position requires a registered nurse with experience in a telemetry unit. The typical patient ratio is 1:6, with a ratio of 1:4 for heart catheterization patients. The unit has 37 beds and employs a staff of 12. Staff composition includes 8 registered nurses and 3 patient care technicians on the day shift. Night shift staffing consists of 8 registered nurses and 3 patient care technicians. Key equipment includes PCA pumps, IV pumps, and chest tubes. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. Typical procedures performed on the unit include central lines, medication drips, heart catheter recovery, and bubble studies. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and strong critical thinking skills. Candidates with prior experience traveling to large teaching facilities and experience with Meditech will be given preference.
