Aegis Weapon System (AWS) Ballistic Missile Defense Technical Trainer

Overview Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking an Aegis Weapon System (AWS) Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) technician and operator subject matter expert (SME) to provide training to international customers. The role supports shipboard and schoolhouse training and contributes to the development of training materials and simulation courses. Responsibilities Assist in the development of new training materials, revise existing curricula, and support simulation virtual courseware updates and deployment. Conduct instructor evaluations and submit training reports. Conduct training events in a shipboard environment and explain capabilities and limitations of the AWS. Interface with program management, engineers, customers, and other contractors. Travel internationally approximately 20% of the year to locations such as Japan, Australia, Republic of Korea, Norway, and Spain. Deliver domestic training for foreign partners at the Aegis Training and Readiness Center (ATRC) in Dahlgren, VA and at the Combat Systems Engineering Development Site (CSEDS) in Moorestown, NJ. Qualifications Graduate of U.S. Navy Baseline 9 Aegis Weapon System (AWS) Operations and Maintenance course. Certified as Navy Instructor with applicable Navy Enlisted Classification (NEC) code or previous instructor experience. Proven AWS operational and maintenance experience with at least one shipboard tour and one training/instructional tour. Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) knowledge and experience. Ability to discuss technical and operational concepts related to the Aegis Combat System (ACS). Proven communication skills with ability to work independently and as a team contributor. Desired Skills Master Training Specialist (MTS) certification. Curriculum development knowledge and experience.
