Job Description

This role focuses on safely and efficiently moving, storing, and tracking finished products and raw materials within a clean, well-organized warehouse environment. You will operate sit-down forklifts and pallet jacks, use RF scanners and warehouse management software, and ensure accurate documentation of all warehouse activities to support smooth production and distribution operations.

Responsibilities

• Move pallets of finished products from production areas using a sit-down forklift or pallet jack.
• Store pallets in their designated warehouse locations to maintain an organized inventory layout.
• Pick customer orders accurately and efficiently according to pick tickets and system instructions.
• Load trucks with finished products when they are ready for shipment, ensuring secure and correct loading.
• Unload trucks carrying raw materials and ensure proper storage and placement within the warehouse.
• Utilize RF scanners to track inventory movements and maintain accurate stock records.
• Label products and pallets correctly to ensure proper identification and traceability.
• Print tickets for orders and shipments as required by warehouse procedures.
• Operate a sit-down forklift to support production by taking product to and from the lines.

Essential Skills

• Proven ability to operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently.
• Experience using pallet jacks for material handling.
• Hands-on experience with material handling, including loading and unloading trucks.
• Proficiency with RF scanners for inventory tracking and verification.
• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs as part of daily warehouse tasks.
• Comfort working around strong paint odors in a well-ventilated environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working in a manufacturing or paint-related warehouse environment.
• Familiarity with documentation review and ticket printing processes.
• Attention to detail for accurate labeling, documentation, and inventory control.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced warehouse setting.
• Ability to maneuver heavy drums and pallets safely using appropriate equipment and techniques.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elk Grove Village, IL.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Elk Grove Village,IL.
