Production Associate

Employment eligibility is verified through E-Verify. Job Summary The Production Associate at RWB Thrift is responsible for executing diverse tasks and processes within backroom operations. This position requires attention to detail, physical endurance, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment. Production Associates may be assigned to various roles within the backroom. A top performer is eager to enhance and broaden their skills, enabling them to perform well in multiple areas of the backroom as business needs dictate. Typical Backroom Tasks Hangers: Ensure products are properly hung and placed on the appropriate rack, paying attention to color order, sleeve length, and garment type. Taggers: Accurately affix price tags to products, enter prices into the pricing machine, and learn to price items for the sales floor. Pricer Support: Work closely with Pricers and learn pricing tasks to provide coverage during a Pricer’s absence. Tallyer & Sensor Support: Count items for the sales floor, attach sensors to products, and ensure inventory is tracked accurately. Runners: Deliver priced merchandise to designated locations on the sales floor, maintain organization and color order, monitor floor condition, address safety concerns, and assist customers as needed. Key Responsibilities Perform diverse tasks and processes within backroom operations as assigned. Maintain cleanliness and organization in backroom areas. Follow company policies and procedures for efficient and safe operations. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and support store operations. Qualifications Previous thrift, retail, warehouse, or back‑of‑house experience is preferred but not required. High school diploma or GED preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to safely perform job functions according to ADA, FMLA and other standards. Physical strength: occasionally lift and carry up to 25 lbs. Endurance: stand for extended periods. Manual dexterity: perform repetitive hand and arm motions. Fine motor skills: handle tasks requiring precision. Balance and agility: maintain equilibrium on narrow or slippery surfaces. Visual acuity: clear vision at 20 inches or less and 20 feet or more. Work Environment Dynamic, fast‑paced atmosphere. Noisy due to activity on the sales floor and production area. Bright lighting throughout the front and back of the store. Regular interaction with customers, donors and coworkers; strong communication skills required. High flexibility to switch tasks or departments as needed. Language Requirements English required for communication with customers, donors, colleagues and supervisors.
