Shift Details:

We are currently searching for a Part Time Resident Assistant to join our weekend staff during the days or nights. 

Please note this may change throughout employment as needed with notice.

What You Will Do

• Safely assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including transfers, personal hygiene, memory care stimulation, and social interaction
• Report any changes in residents' physical condition or behavior to the appropriate supervisor
• Complete accurate documentation in resident records including vitals, leisure activities, incidents, and observations no later than the end of each shift
• Follow the individualized care schedule established by the supervising nurse or care team
• Provide emotional and social support to residents throughout each shift
• Adhere to all community policies, procedures, and state regulations
• Handle food safely in accordance with facility policies and all applicable state and federal regulations
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance
• Fulfill other duties as assigned by the supervisor

What We Are Looking For

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• One year of related caregiving experience preferred; CNA certification preferred
• Ability to safely assist residents with ADLs
• Experience caring for residents with memory impairments and secondary diagnoses
• Patience, compassion, and a genuine desire to work with older adults
• Ability to maintain a calm, professional demeanor and present a clean, reassuring image to residents and families
• Strong communication skills with residents, families, third party providers, and community leadership
• Knowledge of state regulations related to senior care
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English
