Speech Language Pathologist - Travel Contract

Minimum Requirements

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited educational program
• Completed CFY and current Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA
• Active State License is Required to Start the Assignment
• BLS Certification May Be Required from AHA or ARC

Assignment Details

• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM.
• Weekend coverage required 1-2 times per month.
• Setting includes inpatient rehabilitation hospital.

Location Highlights

Bakersfield offers access to both outdoor recreation and city amenities. The Kern River Parkway Trail runs through the city for miles, and Hart Memorial Park is about 10 miles from downtown with lakes, picnic areas, and hiking access. Sequoia National Forest is roughly 70 miles northeast, and Wind Wolves Preserve, one of the largest non-profit nature preserves on the West Coast, is about 30 miles south. Downtown Bakersfield includes the Fox Theater and the Kern County Museum, while the city also sits along CA-99 for regional travel to Fresno and Los Angeles.
