Robert Half Finance & Accounting is seeking an experienced CPA Firm Bookkeeper to oversee a diverse client portfolio in Stuart, Florida. This position requires someone who can manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities while maintaining accurate records, reconciling accounts, and supporting payroll and financial reporting needs. The ideal candidate brings strong QuickBooks knowledge, confidence working across multiple entities or client accounts, and a thorough understanding of end-to-end accounting operations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage complete bookkeeping functions for assigned clients, handling transactions from initial entry through final account reconciliation and reporting.

• Reconcile bank accounts, loan balances, and other general ledger activity to ensure financial records remain accurate and current.

• Review and balance trial balances, identifying discrepancies and making appropriate adjustments when needed.

• Process routine accounting entries and maintain organized financial data to support reliable month-end and ongoing reporting.

• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including recording payments, tracking outstanding items, and maintaining accurate client ledgers.

• Work within QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online, while also using Microsoft Office tools to complete bookkeeping and reporting tasks.

• Assist with time and billing record maintenance as part of overall client accounting support.

• Collaborate across multiple client accounts or entities, adapting to varying accounting structures and operational needs.

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant bookkeeping experience.

• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks is required; experience with QuickBooks Online is highly preferred.

• Proficiency in general accounting functions and a solid understanding of Trial Balance & P& L reports.

• Experience preparing payroll tax returns and maintaining accurate payroll-related records.

• Proven success working independently with little guidance as well as being a long-term valued member of a team.

• Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook for daily accounting and communication tasks.

• Experience in CPA firm settings or multi-company or multi-entity environments is a plus, but not required.

**Requires IN OFFICE 5 days a week. Not a remote role.
