What You'll Do as an Industrial Sewer: Set up, thread, and operate heavy-duty industrial sewing machines to stitch real and synthetic leather upholstery materials. Precision-sew cut leather pieces, boxing, welting, zippers, and decorative topstitching to construct complete couch covers, cushion casings, and armrest panels. Work with heavy, thick leather hides, ensuring proper tension, seam alignment, and pattern matching while preventing fabric stretch or distortion. Read and interpret work orders, cut tickets, and assembly patterns to ensure precise seam allowances and correct production sequences.
