Job Description About BioLife Plasma Services BioLife Plasma Services is a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd. The role reports to the Plasma Center Manager and supports plasma center operations as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse). About the Role The Medical Support Specialist determines donor eligibility, manages donor adverse events, reviews laboratory test results, and notifies donors of unsuitable results. The Specialist works under the guidance of the Center Manager or Assistant Manager and under the management of the Center Physician for medical issues. The role requires familiarity with regulations of the plasma collection industry and follows guidance from BioLife Medical Affairs and EHS. How You Will Contribute Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, AIDS education, self‑exclusion, medical history interview, and acceptance requirements. Conduct physical examinations, blood testing, and review serological protein electrophoresis (SPE). Evaluate donor reactions, follow SOPs for medical emergencies, and support the development of standing orders with the Center Physician. Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical/technical issues concerning donor safety and eligibility. Support hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents and determine further evaluation by occupational health/ER, using EHS guidance. Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations related to pandemic threats. What You Bring to Takeda High school diploma or equivalent, including a recognized nursing program with state requirements. Licensed or certified in the state of assignment: LPN or LVN. Current CPR and AED certification. Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy. Complete the FDA‑approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. Compensation and Benefits Summary Location: USA – MN – Moorhead Hourly wage range: $25.60 – $35.20 U.S. based employees may be eligible for short‑term incentives, medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, short‑term and long‑term disability coverage, basic life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well‑being benefits.
