Parts and Service Specialist

The Parts and Service Specialist role will be responsible for supporting the service technician in the field.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the sourcing, quoting, and ordering parts necessary for the customer in support of the service technician field calls.
  • If necessary, create part numbers for new parts in the ERP system. Review all part numbers created by the branches to reduce duplicate parts numbers.
  • Notify service techs when parts arrive, ship them to assigned locations.
  • Schedule service technician's customer visits to maximize number of visits per pay. This includes scheduled PM's, installations, and ad hoc customer requested repairs.
  • Maintain service calendar, customer machine schematics, and run service reports in coordination with the Service Manager.
  • Enter service reports and invoice customers for parts purchased and service performed.
  • Handle parts returns, vendor RMAs, and warranty claims on parts and machines.
  • Monitor and process parts invoices as needed.
  • Provide back up support to the branch managers for PO approval process in their absence.
  • Other tasks as assigned

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field desired.
  • Five years of related experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of machine parts and machine repair services.
  • Experienced in Lean Six Sigma.

Competencies:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill
  • Ability to solve problems using a structured approach
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office Suite and TEAMS/Sharepoint

Work Environment:

  • Warehouse environment, not climate controlled.
  • Office environment, climate controlled
  • Noise level in this work environment is usually moderate
