Fleet Manager

Fleet Manager Location: Rochester, NY Category: Outside Operations Full‑time position. Description Greenlight Networks is seeking a dedicated and detail‑oriented Fleet Manager to oversee and optimize our vehicle fleet operations. The Fleet Manager will be responsible for managing a diverse range of vehicles, ensuring efficient maintenance, compliance, and cost‑effective operations. Essential Functions Develop and implement comprehensive fleet management strategies and policies to optimize utilization of company vehicles. Monitor and maintain the fleet inventory, including vehicle acquisition, maintenance, and disposal. Coordinate vehicle inspections, repairs, and maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Manage purchasing, insurance, and related record keeping for fleet vehicles. Manage relationships with vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost‑effective services. Track and analyze fleet performance metrics, including fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and driver behavior, and provide regular reports to management. Prepare financial forecasting for the fleet and present to leadership and investment teams. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required Strong knowledge of fleet operations, vehicle maintenance, and applicable regulations. Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels. Advanced negotiation skills and knowledge. Comprehensive knowledge of industry concepts and principles. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Ability to self‑check own work with attention to accuracy; big‑picture sensibility when required. Strong desire to be on a high‑growth, winning team; naturally curious. Self‑starter and finisher; proven experience taking initiative. Work independently with appropriate allocation of time management and organization. Highest ethical and professional conduct. Ability to travel to all company markets along the Northeast. A valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and the ability to maintain insurability under the company’s auto policy. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree required; at least 6 years of experience in fleet management. Proficient in using fleet management software, databases, and other relevant tools. Proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Compensation The pay range for this position is $73,000 – $95,000. The actual salary offered may be influenced by training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Benefits include health, welfare, and retirement plans.
