WAREHOUSE CLERK

Currency/Warehouse SpecialistOur client, an International Banking Institution located in East Rutherford, NJ is seeking a Currency/Warehouse Specialist for a one year plus contract, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. This position requires frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds and perform a team lifts up to a maximum of 100 pounds. You will be trained in counterfeit currency verification and operating currency processing equipment. Experience highly preferred but not required. Responsibilities include currency verification, receiving bulk currency deposits for automated note processing, performing prepping activities to prepare currency for processing, processing each bundle received through the Banknote Processing System, verifying rejected currency through the Reconciling Station, preparing unfit currency for Independent Destroy All, detecting counterfeit currency, recording individual bank differences resulting from such verification, as well as from the detection of deposit shortages and overages. Physical ability to move currency containers/pallets, stand for long periods of time, and lift currency bags required. Experience in cash handling or shipping preferable. Experience in packaging, manufacturing, or warehousing highly preferred but not required. Experience in operations, compliance, or regulated environment (such as food, pharmaceutical packaging, or consumer goods) highly preferred. Attention to detail, ability to identify counterfeit currency (training will be provided). Experience with Excel, Word, comfortable with computers highly preferred.
