The full continuum of River Edge Behavioral Health services provides state-of-the-art treatment and support services for more than 13,000 children, youth, families, and adults annually, who experience mental illness, addiction, co-occurring disorders, or developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Acts as client advocate in order to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations.
• Collects information about clients through interviews and observations.
• Utilizes skills trainings with clients in both individual and group sessions in order to help them overcome deficiencies, recover from illness, and better adjust to life.
• Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge.
• Insures confidentiality of records relating to client's treatment.
• Evaluates client's physical or mental condition based on a review of information.
• Monitor, evaluate, and record client progress according to measurable goals described in the treatment and care plans.
• Insures safety and security of clients and co-workers. Must have good knowledge of agency safety policies and procedures.
• Completes doc via EMR in a timely manner.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Needed (education and/or experience):

• Bachelor's degree in related field and two years, Preferred of related experience or a Master's degree in a related field. Or one year at a lower level or equivalent position.
• Completes/maintains continuing education requirements. Examples include: Mindset CPR/FA/AED, Essential Learning, and others as required.
• Good interpersonal skills. Has the ability to observe, record, and report deviations in patient's conditions.
• Good communications skills, both from an interpersonal standpoint and the ability to write/produce written reports/documentations as needed to insure good patient care.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 16 - 20 pounds whenever needed.
