Job Description Location: South Loop, Chicago, IL Schedule: Monday-Friday with weekend availability required Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour Job Type: Full‑Time, On‑Site About Our Hospital We are a 5‑doctor, AAHA‑accredited, full‑service veterinary hospital located in the South Loop. Our modern, state‑of‑the‑art facility includes: * Fully equipped surgical suite * In‑house diagnostic laboratory * Digital radiography and ultrasonography * Commitment to high‑quality medicine and patient care Learn more about us at: Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Veterinary Technician with a minimum of 2 years of clinical and surgical experience to join our supportive and collaborative team. The ideal candidate is team‑oriented, detail‑driven, and passionate about delivering exceptional patient and client care. Responsibilities * Perform daily technician duties, including: * Venipuncture * Animal restraint * Capturing radiographs * In‑house diagnostic testing * Accurate medical record keeping * Client communication and education * Assist with surgical procedures, including: * Anesthetic induction and intubation * Anesthesia monitoring * Dental prophylaxis (preferred) Qualifications * Minimum 2 years of veterinary technician experience (required) * Surgical and anesthesia experience strongly preferred * Proficiency with AviMark is a plus * Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment * High school diploma or equivalent (preferred) Growth & Development We support continued learning and offer additional training opportunities for technicians who demonstrate foundational skills and a desire to grow professionally.
