The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation seeks a fellowship-trained Pain Medicine physiatrist to join our growing academic faculty in Dallas, TX.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care for individuals with acute and chronic pain conditions and will work collaboratively with colleagues across PM&R and other specialties.
Depending on the candidate’s interests and experience, the position may include opportunities to help shape clinical programs, educate residents and fellows, participate in research and quality-improvement initiatives, mentor trainees, and pursue academic or departmental leadership roles. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience.

About the Department of Physical Medicine and RehabilitationWith more than 45 clinical faculty, 4+ research faculty, 10 practice locations, and 4 inpatient rehabilitation facilities, our faculty provide comprehensive rehabilitation care across a broad range of settings. Our department is committed to improving function, independence, and quality of life through excellence in patient care, education, and research.
We provide services at facilities across UT Southwestern Medical Center campuses, including UT Southwestern University Hospitals, Parkland Memorial Hospital, Children’s Health, Scottish Rite for Children, the VA North Texas Health Care System, and affiliated locations throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Parkland Memorial Hospital serves as a primary teaching hospital for UT Southwestern and is a cornerstone of our academic mission. Our longstanding partnership provides an outstanding setting for clinical education, resident training, and the care of patients with a wide range of rehabilitation needs.
The Department is also part of the Peter O’Donnell Jr. Brain Institute, providing opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration.
Candidate Requirements

1. Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree or foreign equivalent
2. ABPMR Board certified/eligible
3. Completion of an ACGME-accredited Pain Medicine fellowship
4. Eligible for Texas medical licensure and its acquisition prior to the start of employment
5. Commitment to providing excellence, patient-centered rehabilitation care
