Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Driver Patrol Level III in Houston, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. This driving post requires an armed certification and a valid driver’s license. Pay Rate: $17.25 / Hour

Valid Driver's License - AU Driver Policy Requirements (C123)
3+ Years' Combined Law Enforcement/Corrections/Military OR 5+ Years Armed Security Experience

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services and site leadership when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of retail sales areas, entrances, receiving areas, parking lots, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and delivery areas, verify authorized personnel and vendors, and report suspicious activity or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation for incidents, patrols, and other security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or 5 or more years of armed security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
