CDL Class A Driver

Summary of Position The driver will be responsible for collecting packages and delivering them to customers. They will maintain logs to track their route schedule and confirm deliveries. The driver must operate a flatbed delivery truck or van safely and efficiently to deliver packages within a particular area. The driver will also be responsible for obtaining signatures from recipients when delivering materials. Responsibilities and Duties Safely transporting various products and materials to and from specified locations in a timely manner Operating trucks on overnight trips Operating trucks in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations Assisting with the loading and offloading of products and materials Adjusting travel routes to avoid traffic congestion or road construction Promptly informing the company of any tickets issued against the company vehicle during work hours Ensuring that the company vehicle is always parked in areas that permit parking to avoid towing Keeping the company vehicle clean and properly maintained by performing regular washing, cleaning, and vehicle maintenance Providing accurate time records of the company vehicle’s coming and goings Reporting any accidents, injuries, and vehicle damage to management Participating in cycle counts and inventory audits when not driving on the PASU/SMI side Assisting warehouse personnel if needed when not driving Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED is preferred Valid Class A CDL Clean driving record Proven experience as a truck driver with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL Class A) Sound knowledge of road safety regulations Ability to utilize maps, GPS systems, and car manuals Effective communication skills Punctual and dependable Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction Operate with high integrity, maintaining positive relations with co‑workers, customers, and suppliers Strong work ethic; initiative-taking Basic computer skills Good written and oral communication skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
