Position Overview

Are you a digitally savvy, client-focused media strategist who enjoys helping businesses grow? CMG is looking for a Digital Media Strategist – Radio Sales to partner with our Tampa Radio Sales team and develop smart, integrated advertising solutions for local and regional clients.

In this role, you’ll work side by side with Radio Sellers and market leaders to uncover advertiser needs, shape compelling media strategies, and connect clients with the right mix of CMG radio brands, digital audio, streaming, targeted display, video, paid search, SEO/CRO, paid social, lead generation, sponsorships, and premium digital advertising products.

We’re seeking someone who is curious, collaborative, analytical, and energized by the chance to turn customer goals into measurable results. You’ll be a trusted digital resource for our sales team and clients—helping develop proposals, support campaign recommendations, review performance, and identify opportunities to grow client partnerships.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Partners with Radio Sellers in client discovery conversations to understand advertiser goals, business challenges, audience needs, and growth opportunities.
• Builds thoughtful, insight-led recommendations that bring together radio, digital audio, streaming, display, video, paid search, SEO/CRO, paid social, lead generation, sponsorships, and other digital solutions.
• Creates and presents clear, client-ready proposals that connect strategy, audience targeting, campaign objectives, KPIs, and expected business outcomes.
• Works with sales leadership to identify high-potential digital revenue opportunities, priority accounts, renewal needs, upsell opportunities, and new business prospects.
• Helps ensure digital campaigns are set up for success by documenting objectives, targeting, products, budgets, timelines, and fulfillment details clearly and accurately.
• Collaborates with CMG Local Solutions campaign operations and analytics teams to monitor performance, assess pacing, recommend optimizations, and identify opportunities to grow client investment.
• Serves as a trusted digital resource for Sellers, clients, and market leaders on digital media trends, product capabilities, measurement, and best practices.
• Supports and coaches Radio Sales teams so they can confidently position digital solutions and deliver strong recommendations in the marketplace.

Minimum Qualifications

• A consultative, results-oriented approach with the ability to build strong relationships with sales teams, clients, and internal partners.
• Ability to translate client business needs into strategic digital media recommendations and compelling sales presentations.
• Strong understanding of the digital advertising landscape, including audience targeting, programmatic buying, digital audio/streaming, OTT/CTV, paid search, paid social, attribution, campaign measurement, and emerging trends.
• Comfort analyzing campaign performance, identifying optimization opportunities, and communicating results in a clear, client-friendly way.
• Strong organization and follow-through, with the ability to manage multiple client priorities, deadlines, proposals, and campaign details in a fast-paced sales environment.
• Experience using Microsoft Office, CRM tools, digital proposal platforms, analytics dashboards, and campaign reporting tools.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel locally for client meetings, with occasional overnight travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in radio, audio, digital media sales, advertising, marketing, or media strategy is strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting Sellers through needs analysis, proposal development, client presentations, campaign optimization, and renewal or upsell strategy.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, business, or a related field preferred.
• Prior experience working with automotive clients is preferred.
• Meta Blueprint Certification preferred
