Anesthesiologist

HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital Highland, an affiliate of Hospital Sisters Health System, is seeking a skilled Anesthesiologist to provide comprehensive care to residents in Madison county and surrounding communities. This role focuses on routine, low-risk surgical cases, primarily orthopedics, GI, and general surgery. The successful candidate will join a team dedicated to delivering proven-effective care within a critical access hospital setting. Practice Info * HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital Highland is a small critical access hospital. * The hospital performs routine low-risk surgery. * Case mix primarily includes ortho, GI, and general surgery. * No hearts/heads or vascular cases. Responsibilities * Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department. * Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures. * Perform pre-anesthesia assessment. * Obtain and/or verify patient consent. * Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient. * Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia. * Monitor the patient's physiological condition. * Perform clinical intervention as needed. Compensation * Salary: $450,000 * Sign-on bonus: $50,000 with training assistance and loan repayment options available. Requirements * M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine. * ECFMG and FLEX. * Completion of approved residency in anesthesia. * Currently licensed as a physician.
