Job Title: Production Worker Job Description

This role involves general labor and production work in a concrete and masonry manufacturing plant. You will support daily plant operations by maintaining a clean work area, working on the production line, preparing materials, and handling physical tasks such as lifting and loading. This position offers the opportunity to learn machine operation and advance within the facility for individuals who perform well and show reliability.

• Perform general labor and production work to support daily plant operations.
• Sweep and maintain overall cleanliness and general upkeep of the plant and yard areas.
• Work on the production line, including preparing materials and assisting with production processes.
• Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Load and unload materials and products as needed to support production and yard activities.
• Follow safety procedures and use equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner.
• Work both inside the plant and outside in the yard, adapting to changing tasks and priorities.
• Support machine operators and, over time, learn basic machine operation as performance and experience increase.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow.
• Maintain a strong work ethic by arriving on time, completing assigned tasks, and contributing to a positive team environment.

• Experience as a yard worker, general laborer, or in similar hands-on labor roles.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including regularly lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Comfort working in an outdoor or semi-outdoor environment, including exposure to heat, cold, dust, and dirt.
• Willingness to perform sweeping, cleaning, and general upkeep tasks in a production environment.
• Reliability and consistency in attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to follow instructions, safety guidelines, and standard operating procedures.
• Capability to work on a production line and handle repetitive tasks safely and efficiently.

• Concrete, masonry, or related industry experience is a plus but not required.
• Experience in landscaping, equipment operation, working outdoors, concrete, or masonry is considered transferable and highly valued.
• Prior work in construction, yard work, or other physically intensive roles is beneficial.
• Interest in learning machine operation and taking on additional responsibility over time.

This role is based in a concrete and masonry manufacturing plant that supplies materials to construction companies and contractors. The facility operates as a concrete and masonry plant, which can be a dirty environment with exposure to dust and building materials. You will spend time both inside the plant and outside in the yard, so you must be comfortable working in varying weather conditions, including heat and cold. The standard shift for this position is approximately 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For those who advance into machine operator roles, start times may move earlier, around 4:00–5:00 a.m., with an earlier finish to the workday. The role requires appropriate work attire suitable for a production and yard environment, including clothing and footwear that support safety, durability, and comfort for physical labor.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cockeysville, MD.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Cockeysville,MD.
