Barista

Job Overview

As a Barista Cashier, you’ll create a welcoming café experience by preparing drinks and food, serving customers, and handling transactions accurately. You’ll move between beverage service, food preparation, and point-of-sale (POS) tasks while keeping your work area clean, safe, and ready for the next guest.

Duties

• Prepare coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages, with precision and consistency.
• Serve drinks and food, and follow food-handling and food-safety practices.
• Welcome customers, answer questions, support sales, and complete retail sales transactions using POS systems.
• Process cash transactions, handle cash responsibly, and use basic math to ensure accurate payments.
• Clean and organize café equipment, counters, and service areas throughout each shift.
• Your impact: By combining friendly customer service with accurate, timely service, you help guests enjoy a smooth and satisfying café visit.

Qualifications

• Customer service, cashiering, cash handling, and basic math skills; comfort using POS systems is important.
• Food service, serving, beverage service, food preparation, or food industry experience is useful. Barista, coffee, or café experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of food handling, food safety, cleaning, and time management practices.
• Experience with Clover POS is a plus; willingness to learn the café’s systems is welcome.
