Laboratory Technician

Description Seeking a dependable and detail-oriented 2nd Shift Quality Control Laboratory Technician to join our Quality team. This role is responsible for performing laboratory testing on graphite and carbon-based materials to ensure products meet quality standards and customer specifications. Key Responsibilities Perform quality control testing on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products. Conduct chemical and physical analysis including particle size, moisture, density, sulfur content, ash content, surface area, pH, and carbon content. Set up, calibrate, verify, troubleshoot, and operate laboratory equipment and testing instruments. Collect production samples from manufacturing areas and prepare samples for testing. Record and maintain accurate laboratory data and reports using Microsoft Excel. Review production results and verify products meet established quality specifications. Must-Have Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Experience working in a manufacturing, production, quality, laboratory, or industrial environment. Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document data. Ability to follow testing procedures, work instructions, and quality standards. Comfortable working around industrial equipment, dust, and production environments. Ability to wear required PPE including steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, hard hat, and dust masks. Nice-to-Have Qualifications Previous Quality Control Laboratory experience. Associate degree or post-secondary education in Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, or a related field. Experience operating laboratory testing equipment and analytical instruments. Experience in powders, minerals, graphite, carbon products, chemicals, metals, or industrial materials manufacturing. st practices.
