Position Type: Athletics/Activities/ Coaching Date Posted: 8/31/2026 Location: East Brunswick Magnet School Date Available: 10/01/2026 Closing Date: 09/08/2026 Brief Description The Board of Education of Middlesex County Magnet Schools is currently accepting applications for Varsity Cheerleading Coach for the 2026-2027 school year. Salary will be based on the Varsity Coaches' salary guide in effect for the 2026-2027 school year.This position is appointed annually. This position will be located at our East Brunswick campus. Qualifications Be the holder of a New Jersey State Teacher's Certificate and/or a County Substitute's Certificate; have a knowledgeable background in the sport as a player or coach in college or in high school, three years of sub-varsity coaching preferred, and a successful background in working with young people in a related sports field. Coaches will be certified in CPR/AED and Sports First Aid and, if new to the profession, must register for the NFHS Coaching Principles Course within 120 days of employment. The coach should be familiar with AACCA School Cheer Safety Rules and AACCA Spirit Safety. The candidate must have completed the "A Guide to Heat Acclimatization and Heat Illness Prevention" course as well as the "Concussion in Sports – What you need to Know." Certifications need to be completed before the first day of the season. Appointment Appointment is at the discretion of the Board of Education.
