Med/Surg Special Care Unit Registered Nurse

Pomerene Hospital is seeking an experienced Med/Surg Special Care Unit Registered Nurse for an assignment in Millersburg, Ohio. This night shift position covers both the MedSurg and Special Care Unit (SCU). The 13-week assignment includes weekends and holidays. Block scheduling (weekends only) may be accommodated to attract the right candidate. The need is immediate.

Department: MedSurg / Special Care Unit

Location: Millersburg, Ohio 44654

Shift: 3 x 12-hour nights

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Start Date: Immediate

Patient Ratios: MedSurg: 1:46 | SCU: 1:24 max

Weekend Requirement: Weekends and holidays included

Call Requirement: None

Block Schedule: Yes weekends only potentially

Scrub Color: Ceil Blue

Responsibilities:

Provide nursing care within the MedSurg and Special Care Unit.
Manage patient loads of up to 6 patients on MedSurg and up to 4 on SCU.
Work all assigned weekends and holidays.

Qualifications:

Step-down/telemetry experience preferred.
ICU experience preferred.
Current ACLS certification.
Current BLS certification.
Current NIHSS certification.
