Description

American Traveler is seeking a Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) with pediatric experience for a night shift position at a pediatric specialty facility in Johnston, IA.

Details

• Pediatric specialty facility setting focused on complex and medically fragile patients
• Patient diagnoses include cerebral palsy (CP), spinal cord injury, birth injury, motor vehicle accidents, spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), Trisomy 21, and Rett syndrome
• Specialized equipment includes CPT machine, Volera, MetaNeb, cough assist, ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, and tracheostomies
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:00–06:00
• Every other weekend required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• CRT or RRT credential required
• Minimum 3 years of respiratory therapy experience
• Pediatric experience required
• BLS certification required
• Valid state respiratory therapy license required if applicable
• Experience with specialized respiratory equipment including ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, tracheostomy care, CPT machine, Volera, MetaNeb, and cough assist devices

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory therapy services to medically complex pediatric patients with a wide range of neurological and physical diagnoses
• 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
• All time-off or scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
