Position Title: Skills Instructor (Seasonal or Part-Time) Program: Day Services or Career Services Location: Wakefield, MA; Woburn, MA; Beverly, MA Pay rate: $20.00 per hour – Tiered pay increases based on years of service, pending performance evaluations Hours: Seasonal Full-Time and Part-time schedules available Role Summary If you are a college student, have a flexible schedule, or want a seasonal opportunity, we are looking for Day Program and/or Career Services Skills Instructors. Responsibilities Day Program Skills Instructor: Think creatively and adapt your own interests (art, music, cooking, health & fitness) to develop curriculum to teach individuals new skills. Mentor individuals, assess needs, and create and implement Individual Support Plans (ISP) to enhance independence. Plan and oversee community-based activities such as movies, picnics, bowling, and mini-golf. Provide personal care and assistance to individuals consistent with individual needs as they strive to reach their goals. Career Services Skills Instructor: Provide direct support and assist individuals in gaining community employment by teaching specific skills and building relationships with area businesses. Create and participate in community-based activities. Provide personal care and assistance to individuals consistent with individual needs as they strive to reach their goals. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. At least one year of experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities is preferred. A passion and dedication to supporting our people is a must. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. Must pass company background and reference checks.
