Position Summary:
We are seeking dependable and flexible Food Service Substitutes to assist in school cafeterias as needed. Substitutes will work in a variety of roles including food preparation, serving, and cleanup. Assignments may vary by school, depending on district needs.


Responsibilities:

• Assist with preparing and serving meals according to district menus and nutrition guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food preparation and serving areas.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.
• Help with dishwashing, sweeping, mopping, and other cleanup tasks.
• Provide friendly, respectful service to students and staff.
• Follow all district food safety, health, and workplace policies.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in food service or kitchen work is helpful but not required.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move supplies/equipment (up to 30 lbs).
• Strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to learn.
• Flexibility to adapt to different school sites and cafeteria roles.

Schedule & Compensation:

• Flexible, on-call scheduling based on district needs.
• Hours may vary by school site.
• Compensation: Referr to the Substitute Pay section of the Salary Schedule
