Role Description The Pet Stylist is a full-time, on-site role located in Chandler, AZ, responsible for providing professional grooming services to dogs and other companion animals. Day-to-day tasks include bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling coats; performing basic nail, ear, and hygiene care; and following Petco's safety and animal welfare standards. The Pet Stylist consults with pet parents to understand grooming preferences, recommend services, and ensure a positive experience. This role also involves maintaining a clean, organized grooming area, handling scheduling, and supporting store operations as needed. Pet Stylists collaborate with store leaders and team members to deliver consistent, high-quality service and contribute to a welcoming environment for pets and customers. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Animal Care and Pet Care skills, including safe handling and comfort with different breeds, sizes, and temperaments. Candidates should possess excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to discuss grooming options, explain procedures, and build trust with pet parents. Candidates should possess a solid understanding of Animal Welfare principles and adhere to all safety and humane handling guidelines. Prior professional grooming or pet styling experience, certification from a recognized grooming program, or completion of Petco's grooming training is beneficial. Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move pets of varying sizes safely, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
