Job Summary:
The registered nurse (RN) specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at a healthcare facility in Ohio oversees the delivery of high-quality patient care. This role involves supervising healthcare team members, performing initial patient assessments, and contributing to patient education and discharge planning. The position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and clinical excellence to promote positive patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification prior to first shift, valid Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification prior to first shift (CIRH only), ICU experience, critical care experience, minimum of 2 years bedside clinical experience, Ohio license or eligibility, and 0 years of experience required
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified
• Float: Float rotation may be required
• Additional Information: Performs nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission, develops individualized care plans, documents patient responses and interventions accurately and timely, participates in patient rehabilitation programs, initiates discharge planning from day of admission, communicates effectively regarding patient status changes, delegates tasks appropriately, ensures safety standards are met, and actively engages in professional development. The role requires calm, positive interaction with patients, families, and team members, and collaboration with senior staff for complex clinical decision-making. Provider must be able to prioritize activities and utilize time efficiently to meet patient needs.
