Behavioral Health Clinician, Emergency Department, 32hrs. Days

Exemption Status: Exempt Hiring Range: $58,864.00 - $116,812.80 Please note that the final offer may vary within this range based on a candidate's experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations. Schedule Details: Holidays – Every Other Holiday, Monday through Friday, Weekends (Saturday and Sunday). Scheduled Hours: Days. Shift: 1 – Day Shift, 8 Hours (United States of America). Hours: 32. Cost Center: 24050 – 0602 Emergency Mental Health. This position may have a signing bonus available; a member of the Recruitment Team will confirm eligibility during the interview process. Major Responsibilities Provide individual and group therapy to patients with varied mental health/co-occurring disorders. Complete initial assessments, counseling, group therapy, case presentations to the treatment team, treatment planning, and aftercare planning. Identify the need for medication evaluations and make referrals to on‑site providers. Complete all documentation and paperwork specific to the department and in compliance with hospital requirements, Department of Mental Health (DMH), Bureau Substance Addiction Services (BSAS), The Joint Commission, and insurance providers. Manage caseload, including consultations, collateral contact, and following up with patients on missed appointments. Work toward or maintain highest level of professional licensure and maintain credentialing necessary for the specific role. Standard Staffing Level Responsibilities Comply with established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives. Attend a variety of meetings, conferences, and seminars as required or directed. Demonstrate use of Quality Improvement in daily operations. Comply with all health and safety regulations and requirements. Maintain regular, reliable, and predictable attendance. Perform other similar and related duties as required or directed. Position Qualifications License/Certification/Education: Required: Graduation and training from an accredited graduate (Masters) program such as Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, etc. Preferred: License (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT) eligible. Experience/Skills: Required: Strong and effective communication, organization, and time management skills. Required: Ability to work as part of a robust multidisciplinary clinical team. Preferred: Internship and/or work experience within behavioral health including addiction services. Preferred: Strong diagnostic skills and abilities. Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements. Department‑specific competencies and their measurements will be developed and maintained in the individual departments. The competencies will be maintained and attached to the departmental job description. Responsible managers will review competencies with position incumbents. Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions Work is considered sedentary. Position requires work indoors in a normal office environment.
