Orlando Health Credentialing SpecialistLocation: Bayfront Hospital, St. Petersburg, FLSchedule: Monday-Thursday: 8am-4:30pm Friday: 8am-4pmRole is on site with hybrid potential after trainingOrlando Health, a trusted and respected healthcare organization, is looking for a credentialing specialist to provide support to the medical staff and allied health staff with credentialing and privileging activities for initial and reappointment, ensuring compliance to regulatory and accreditation standards, as well as the Orlando Health Bylaws, Rules & Regulations.Responsibilities include providing exceptional customer service to physicians and physician office staff members, obtaining timely and accurate primary source verification for all credentialing functions, completing accurate and timely data entry of all credentialing activity into physician credentialing systems, identifying trends and assisting in the development of action plans for performance improvement, interacting with department chairmen and leadership chairmen in the preparation of meeting calendars and meeting notices, managing various human resources functions including hiring, work assignments, coaching plans, and performance counseling, and maintaining compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, knowledge of medical terminology, three (3) years experience credentialing/privileging or one (1) year of credentialing/privileging experience and two (2) years of clinical experience, proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet and significant proficiency in credentialing data system.
