CT Technologist Job Details

• Location: Oakland, California, in the East Bay
• Start Date: November 23, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks, ending February 22, 2027
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,510–$2,700
• Schedule: Four shifts per week
• Shift Duration: 10-hour shifts
• Available Shifts: Mid shift, approximately 1:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m., or day shift, approximately 11:00 a.m.–9:30 p.m.; schedules include a 30-minute meal break
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
• Additional Scheduling: Occasional overnight coverage may be requested in an emergency
• Float Requirement: May float approximately 3 miles to a nearby campus for one shift per week
• Orientation: 16 hours

CT Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of CT Technologist experience in a hospital setting
• Current CT certification
• ARRT certification
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Current California CRT certification
• Demonstrated experience operating GE CT scanners
• Ability to work four 10-hour shifts, every other weekend, and provide occasional emergency overnight coverage
• Strong communication, patient care, and teamwork skills

Travel CT Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT examinations according to established protocols and safety standards
• Operate GE CT equipment safely and efficiently
• Verify patient identity, review clinical information, and assess patients before imaging procedures
• Position and prepare patients while providing clear explanations and compassionate support
• Administer contrast media when indicated and monitor patients for adverse reactions in accordance with applicable protocols
• Evaluate image quality and repeat or adjust studies when necessary
• Accurately document procedures and patient information in the appropriate systems
• Maintain radiation safety, infection prevention, and quality assurance standards
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, physicians, and other members of the care team
• Provide CT coverage at a nearby campus as assigned
