This role focuses on performing high-quality diagnostic echocardiography studies and supporting patient-centered cardiovascular care in a community-focused, acute-care environment. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $1,783–$1,858 per week Guaranteed hours: 32 per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Start date: 09/14/2026 Setting: Critical access hospital; inpatient, outpatient, ED, and surgical coverage as needed Travel assignment with midweek orientation Responsibilities Perform high-quality transthoracic echocardiograms, limited studies, contrast studies, and bubble studies according to departmental protocols and professional standards. Obtain diagnostic-quality images and measurements to support interpretation by cardiologists, while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Use clinical judgment to evaluate patient history, optimize imaging, recognize significant abnormalities, and communicate urgent findings when appropriate. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support efficient patient care across inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and surgical settings. Requirements Graduation from an accredited Cardiac Sonography, Echocardiography, or Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through CCI required. Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association. Minimum one year of echocardiography experience. Travel experience required. Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, pathology, Doppler principles, and echocardiographic imaging techniques. Ability to work independently while maintaining collaborative relationships with physicians and care teams.
