Ultrasound Technologist - Neuro Interventional Radiology

Role Overview: The Ultrasound Technologist in Neuro Interventional Radiology performs high-quality ultrasound exams, provides patient care, and supports clinical procedures in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Conducts routine, intraoperative, biopsy, and portable ultrasound exams following protocols. Applies sterile techniques, administers contrast agents, and reviews medications and allergies. Recognizes pathological findings, documents accurately, and participates in quality assurance. Ensures patient safety by verifying identity, following safety protocols, and activating emergency procedures when needed. Maintains a clean work environment, reports equipment issues, and adheres to safety principles like ALARA and Image Gently. Provides compassionate patient care and maintains professional communication with staff and patients. Supports department needs, manages patient flow, and adapts to flexible schedules, including on-call duties. Qualifications & Skills Graduation from an accredited ultrasound or radiologic technology program; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Two years diagnostic ultrasound experience preferred. Certifications: ARRT-S, ARRT-BS, ARRT-VS, Vascular Sonography, RDMS, and BLS required. Must pass pre-employment skills test and maintain licensure/certifications.
