Health Care Mechanic

Job Description Under general supervision, following hospital standards and regulatory agency requirements, the Technician performs maintenance activities including construction (routine carpentry, plastering, painting, etc.), electrical, plumbing and mechanical work. Responsibilities Under general supervision, the Technician performs maintenance activities in accordance with hospital standards and regulatory agency requirements. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Valid Michigan driver’s license. Proven mechanical work experience or completion of a vocational course such as drafting, machine shop, auto repair, construction, electrical or electronic. Completion of MECH Senior Certification within four years. Physical capability to list medium loads (25–50 pounds), and to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl occasionally; and ability to walk and handle materials frequently.
