Billing Manager - Torrington

We are a highly respected leader in our field and ranked as one of the top construction firms in the Northeast.The Billing Manager oversees the daily operations of the billing department, ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient billing processes. This role provides leadership to the billing team, drives process improvements, resolves complex billing issues, and partners with accounting and operations to ensure accurate financial transactions and exceptional customer service.Responsibilities: Leadership & Team ManagementLead, coach, and develop billing staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.Assign and monitor work to ensure timely and accurate billing.Establish departmental goals and drive continuous improvement.Billing OperationsOversee daily billing, invoicing, and reconciliation processes.Maintain product pricing and billing data.Ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures.Customer Service & Issue ResolutionResolve complex billing issues and customer inquiries.Provide support and guidance to billing staff on escalated accounts.Process Improvement & ReportingIdentify opportunities to improve billing processes and efficiency.Prepare reports and performance metrics for management.Compliance & Internal ControlsMaintain tax-exempt certificate records and ensure sales tax compliance.Support internal controls, audits, and documentation of billing procedures.Identify and mitigate operational and financial risks.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Prior leadership or management experience.Strong knowledge of billing, accounts receivable, and financial systems.Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.High attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Please note we are unable to provide immigration sponsorship for this position.We offer a competitive benefit and compensation package that includes health, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, company paid life insurance, company paid long term disability insurance, paid holidays, and earned time off.To access different languages for the application process, click START YOUR APPLICATION.
