In this role, you will perform both routine and complex laboratory testing while ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely, and reliable results to our providers. This position plays a critical role in supporting clinical decision-making and delivering high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment, maintains a strong commitment to quality and compliance, and demonstrates the ability to adapt within a fast-paced clinical setting.**Key Responsibilities*** Perform routine and complex laboratory testing across areas including chemistry, hematology, immunology, and urinalysis* Ensure accuracy, precision, and timely reporting of laboratory results* Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and analyzers* Adhere to established quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) protocols; identify and resolve discrepancies* Accurately enter, verify, and release results within the laboratory information system (LIS)* Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards (CLIA, CAP, and state requirements)* Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to clarify orders and communicate critical values* Ensure proper specimen handling, processing, and integrity* Support efficient lab workflow while adapting to changing patient volumes* Participate in validation studies, method comparisons, and process improvement initiatives* Assist with onboarding and training of new team members as needed* Follow all safety, infection control, and confidentiality guidelines**Qualifications & Requirements*** Associate’s degree in Medical Technology or related life science required; Bachelor’s degree preferred* 2–5 years of clinical laboratory experience* Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technologist (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent) required* Active Florida Medical Laboratory Technologist license required* Experience with laboratory information systems (LIS) and automated instrumentation preferred* Strong communication and interpersonal skills* Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment* Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach to patient care* Knowledge of data privacy standards and healthcare regulations* Flexibility to accommodate workflow demands and occasional extended hoursHere are just a few things we offer:* Access to health, dental, and vision insurance* Health Savings Account* Eligible for PTO and Holiday pay* Company paid life insurance.* Access to voluntary short and long-term disability insurance* Access to additional life insurance* Access to Accident and Critical Illness Insurance* 401K with automatic employer contributionMedical Specialists of the Palm Beaches, Inc.
