In this role, you will operate woodworking equipment to prepare quality materials and components that become part of premium furniture built to last for generations.If you enjoy working with wood, operating machinery, and being part of a skilled production team, we encourage you to apply.What You'll DoOperate rough mill woodworking equipment to prepare lumber and furniture componentsIdentify and grade wood species including Cherry, Mahogany, Oak, Maple, Birch, and veneers according to Stickley standardsRead and interpret production tickets, drawings, and work instructionsSet up machines and jobs efficiently to support production goalsInspect materials and parts for quality, accuracy, and proper specificationsPerform basic machine maintenance and complete required maintenance recordsAssist with material handling and off-bearing as neededMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work areaWork closely with team members and supervisors to meet daily production needsWhat You'll BringPrevious experience operating woodworking, manufacturing, or production machineryAbility to identify wood species and make quality grading decisionsAbility to read blueprints, drawings, and production documentsMechanical aptitude and ability to learn equipment operationStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentDependability, teamwork, and a strong work ethicWhy Work at Stickley?For more than 125 years, Stickley has built a reputation for exceptional craftsmanship, quality, and timeless furniture.
