Service Mechanic

Overview Stew Hansen Buick GMC, a reputable Ken Garff Automotive Dealer, is recruiting an Automotive Service Technician with core values of respect, integrity, growth, humility, and teamwork. Experience and Qualifications 2 to 3 years of automotive technician experience preferred. ASE or dealership manufacturer certifications. High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the U.S. Valid in-state driver’s license with a good driving record. Ability to read and comprehend job‑related instructions and information, electronic and paper‑based. Responsibilities Perform efficient and expert work on repair orders in accordance with dealership, state, and factory standards. Maintain knowledge of all factory‑technical bulletins. Address customers’ primary concerns with diagnosis, repair, and quality control to attain “Fixed First Visit” expectations. Perform the KG Electronic Multi Point Inspection on every vehicle and notify Service Advisor of any discrepancies. Use the Dealer Management System (Reynolds) for time‑keeping, work distribution, electronic inspections, repair quotes, and communication. Be accountable for dealership‑owned tools and ensure superior cleanliness of workspace and customer vehicles (“leave no trace” standard).
