Work Environment

Located in the heart of Umatilla, our outpatient office offers a friendly and professional atmosphere designed to foster both patient comfort and staff collaboration. Your schedule will typically consist of weekdays, allowing you to engage fully with your patients from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. We limit patient sessions to one individual per hour, ensuring you dedicate the needed time and attention to properly assess and treat each case.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and identify patient needs through assessments, functional tests, and discussions to establish effective treatment goals.
• Maintain a patient load of one individual per hour, allowing for personalized, high-quality care.
• Administer therapeutic interventions that focus on improving patient mobility and reducing pain through evidence-based practices.
• Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing various therapeutic modalities, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and functional training.
• Teach patients exercises and strategies to minimize reliance on pain medications and explore non-surgical alternatives.
• Design and implement customized wellness programs to promote overall strength, flexibility, and coordination aligned with the patients' lifestyle and goals.
• Document patient progress meticulously within our EMR system, utilizing tools such as WebPT to enhance patient management and outcomes.
• Foster a collaborative approach with other healthcare professionals to align treatment strategies and improve patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient demographics include individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will engage with a diverse clientele, ensuring that you provide a comprehensive and empathetic approach to rehabilitation. Your experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting will be crucial as you navigate the distinct challenges faced by each patient.

Qualifications

• A Master's (MPT) or Doctorate (DPT) in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Active licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida, with a clean disciplinary record.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and the development of exercise programming.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, to streamline patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Previous work experience in outpatient orthopedic settings is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to implement effective treatment strategies that lead to positive patient outcomes.
• Strong interpersonal skills for engaging and motivational communication with patients.

Compensation and Benefits
