The services provided range from partnership accounting, financial reporting, cash management, and bill payment to advising on complex intergenerational wealth strategies and best practices.As one of the fastest growing firms in the nation, BT has the ability to offer you upward career trajectory, flexibility in how and where you get your work done and meaningful relationships with clients, teammates and leadership who truly care about you and your development.You will enjoy this role if:You crave the opportunity to be part of a fast growing, family office practice where your hard work and creativity will be rewardedYou do your best work when you are part of a talented, down-to-earth team that thrives in collaboration and truly enjoys working togetherYou feel valued when you are provided the resources and support to continually sharpen your technical skills and build your career now, for tomorrowWhat you will do:Work closely with multiple clients with a variety of accounting and administrative services, including but not limited to:Assisting team members with the full accounting processes, i.e. maintaining the general ledger, generating and posting all journal entries in a timely manner, coordinating monthly close, maintaining budgets and reporting on budget to actual, and preparing monthly/quarterly financial statements with related workpapersResearching and resolving issues or discrepancies with clients’ accounts, bill pay or invoicesSupervising and reviewing the accounts payable function and Family Office staff membersManaging and reconciling numerous bank, brokerage, and credit card accountsPerforming reconciliations and analysis for balance sheet accounts, including inter-company accountsPreparing year-end reporting of 1099sAssisting in preparation of quarterly and annual tax packages and supporting documentsResponding to client requests and inquiriesHandling special projects as needed.Demonstrate the desire to continually grow, learn and develop skills and knowledge through external and internal education, training and cross-training opportunities to maximize personal contribution to the organizational goals and ongoing career developmentUtilize your entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and externally with clientsSupport the growth and development of team members through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy, helping associates meet their professional goalsEnjoy friendships, social activities and team outings that encourage a work-life balanceSuccessful candidates will have:Bachelor's degree requiredCPA eligible preferred1 year of progressive accounting/bookkeeping experienceProficient with Microsoft Office; QuickBooks experience preferredStrong project management and client service skillsFamiliar with GAAP and financial statementsHigh attention to detail, problem solver & intellectually curiousAdhere to the highest level of confidentialityA diverse accounting backgroundAn understanding of professional services and client serviceStrong interpersonal skills with an approachable and professional demeanorOutstanding organization skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsThe ability to handle and respond to multiple client and department demands in a timely mannerThe ability to prioritize assignments and effectively manage their timeThe ability to thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environmentThe ability to be a team player but be able to work independently.The pay rate range for this job position is $60,000 to $81,320. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of relevant factors including but not limited to applicant’s skills, prior experience, qualifications, degrees/certifications, work arrangements and geographic location.
