Job Overview

Join a fast-paced 43-bed Cardiac Telemetry unit caring for patients with a variety of cardiac and medical conditions. This assignment is ideal for experienced Telemetry RNs who are confident with cardiac rhythm interpretation, admissions/discharges, and collaborating in a strong team environment.

Requirements

• Active RN License
• BLS & ACLS required
• Recent Cardiac Telemetry experience
• Must be able to independently interpret telemetry strips
• Experience with Heparin titration and cardiac patient care
• Comfortable performing EKGs and managing admissions/discharges

Patient Population

• Post Heart Catheterization
• CHF & COPD
• Arrhythmias
• Post Pacemaker patients
• CABG workups
• Cardiac medical management

Unit Highlights

• 43-bed Cardiac Telemetry unit
• Typical nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5 (may flex to 1:6)
• Monitor technicians available
• Self-scheduling available
• Block scheduling considered based on unit needs
• Supportive, team-oriented culture
• Fast-paced environment with frequent admissions and discharges

Additional Details

• Every other weekend required
• Travelers participate in the facility float rotation within their skill set
• Royal Blue scrubs
• Orientation includes computer training and unit precepting

Important Notes

• Travelers must submit an unexpired driver's license with their application.
• Floating may occur to other units based on hospital needs, but assignments will remain within your competency.
