Tax Director

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Tax Director to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $180,000 to $220,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead tax planning and compliance activities while supporting business transactions and strategic initiatives.
• Oversee preparation and review of tax filings reports and investor related tax documentation to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage tax reporting requirements across multiple jurisdictions and coordinate compliance activities with internal and external parties.
• Respond to tax examinations inquiries and regulatory requests while maintaining strong relationships with advisors and stakeholders.
• Partner with accounting legal and investment teams to provide guidance on tax matters and reporting obligations.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor degree in accounting finance taxation or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive tax experience within public accounting corporate tax or related environments.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of real estate taxation partnership taxation and entity compliance requirements.
• Possess experience managing multistate tax filings reporting obligations and regulatory compliance activities.
• Maintain proficiency with Excel and tax software used for analysis reporting and compliance purposes.

Qualifications:

• Apply strong analytical and problem solving skills to evaluate complex tax matters and business transactions.
• Communicate effectively with executives advisors investors and cross functional business partners.
• Demonstrate leadership experience managing tax professionals consultants and external service providers.
• Maintain exceptional attention to detail while balancing multiple deadlines and priorities.
• Bring professional certification public accounting experience or expertise supporting real estate investment structures considered beneficial.
