Job Description

The Commercial Security Integration Technician is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining a variety of commercial security systems including alarm systems, access control, video surveillance, integrated solutions, and fire alarms. Working primarily as part of a small team and independently, this role requires technical expertise and strong problem-solving skills to ensure systems operate efficiently and meet client needs. The technician will also provide customer support, perform technical testing, and document system configurations while handling local travel assignments.

 

Responsibilities

• Install and configure commercial security systems including alarms, access control, video surveillance, and fire alarms
• Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure system reliability
• Use electrical testing equipment, network tools, and hand tools effectively during installations and repairs
• Provide technical support and clear communication to customers
• Conduct system testing and verification before project completion
• Document installation processes, configurations, and maintenance activities
• Implement system upgrades and modifications as required
• Travel locally to client sites to perform on-site tasks

 

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in commercial security system integration
• Valid driver’s license for local travel

 

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience with security system installation, alarm systems, and access control systems
• Knowledge of network configuration and electrical wiring
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent customer communication and technical documentation abilities
• Effective time management skills
