Key Responsibilities of the RN - Med Surg

• Deliver high-quality care to patients within a neuro medical/surgical unit
• Utilize equipment such as Welch Allyn Vital sign monitors and PCA pumps
• Conduct stroke NIH assessments and EEGs
• Perform gastric decompression and wound care procedures

Requirements of the RN - Med Surg

• Valid BLS certification
• IV Certification for LVNs
• NIH Stroke Scale certification
• ACLS certification (preferred)
