Commercial HVAC Chiller Journeyman Technician - Union

Responsibilities Inspect and maintain air‑conditioning and HVAC systems to ensure efficient operation. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical malfunctions in heating and cooling units. Install, replace, and calibrate HVAC equipment, including thermostatic controls and liquid lines. Service refrigeration equipment such as refrigerators, ice machines, gas packs, and heat pumps. Maintain chilled and hot water supply systems and adjust internal control systems. Assemble and install metal ductwork and assist in HVAC system planning and design. Ensure compliance with City, State, and EPA regulations by maintaining detailed maintenance records. Identify and mitigate risks to maintain a safe working environment. Collaborate with management to support safety and operational standards. Required Qualifications 5+ years of practical working experience in the HVAC industry. 3+ years of experience with air‑cooled and water‑cooled chillers. Ability to push, pull, and lift 50lbs. Must be able to stand, crawl, sit, squat for extended periods, climb a ladder, and work on roofs. High School Diploma or GED required. Valid and current driver’s license and insurable by the company’s insurance carrier. Preferred Qualifications Basic understanding of building automation controls. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience using Salesforce and ServiceMax. Multiple OEM experience with air‑cooled and water‑cooled chillers. Pay Range The hourly rate for this position is between $38.00–$76.00 per hour, depending on skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications.
