Saratoga Medical (DBA Saratoga Ascend) is hiring Family Medicine Physicians or Internal Medicine Physicians for an onsite opportunity in San Antonio, TX . This position offers competitive rates and the opportunity to provide care in a residential setting serving adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD).

Saratoga Medical (DBA Saratoga Ascend) has an exciting opportunity for a Texas-licensed Family Medicine Physician or Internal Medicine Physician to provide comprehensive medical care for adult residents with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and co-occurring mental health conditions at a state-supported living center.

Job Description:

  • Provide comprehensive primary care to adult residential patients.
  • Perform psychiatric assessments, treatment, and face-to-face evaluations.
  • Manage a patient panel of approximately 25 residents.
  • Complete annual physicals and quarterly documentation.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings as required.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and required on-call coverage.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and comply with facility policies.

Required Qualifications:

  • MD/DO from an accredited institution.
  • Active Texas Medical License in good standing.
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
  • Active DEA Registration.
  • Current AHA CPR Certification.
  • Experience with IDD, behavioral health, residential, long-term care, or correctional settings preferred.
  • Must successfully complete required drug screening, fingerprinting, and onboarding.

Work Schedule:

  • Full-Time (40 hours/week)
  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • Required weekday and monthly weekend on-call rotation
  • Onsite position located in San Antonio, TX.
