Job Title: Registered Nurse

Must-Have:
Cross-trained in postpartum and delivery
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification


Description:
Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care.
Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to deliver, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and families.
Effectively communicates pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team.
Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.


Patient to Nurse Ratio:
Labor - 1:2 or 1:1
Postpartum - 1:3 or 1:4 couplets


Required Skills & Experience:
Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the assigned unit or department.
Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.


Preferred Skills & Experience:
Not applicable


Required Education:
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.


Preferred Education:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.


Required Certification & Licensure:
Current licensure by the state Board of Nursing.
BLS certification required.
